July 21, 2001 sees the release on Man's Ruin Records of New York's BEGOTTEN's sole album. Mastered (and freshly re-mastered for this vinyl edition) by Roger Lian (Slayer, Monster Magnet, Pantera), this self-titled album is one of the true highlights of that pre-9/11 era, when doom was outdated and all forms of "new" metal were trendy. Fiery riffs of doom and a crushing wall of sound is what BEGOTTEN had to offer. It took 21 years for this doom monster to finally come alive on the vinyl format. BEGOTTEN had so much to offer and still has! Scott "Wino" Weinrich was such a fan of the band (they toured together back in the days), that he accepted to pen a few words for the insert.
