Wucan is a German rock band from Dresden, who like to describe their style as Heavy Flute Rock. If you immerse yourself in the artistic work of the quartet, it quickly becomes understandable why common genre designations reach their limits here. Multifaceted and playful, the Dresdeners have been convincing since their first album "Sow the Wind" (2015) with psychedelic riffs, progressive structures and folky elements, and they do not shy away from either the gentle nuances or the harder pace. With each release, the band around singer and multi-instrumentalist Francis Tobolsky reinvents itself without losing its recognition value. Their repertoire ranges from crisp proto-metal numbers to epic 15-minute works of art such as "Wandersmann" from their debut album or "Aging 10 Years in 2 Seconds" from the double album "Reap The Storm" (2017). On September 10th, 2021, Wucan performed in the well-known Blues Garage in Isernhagen near Hannover. Deutschlandfunk was there and recorded the show, the band's first live album was in the can, full of energy and pure.
